What Would Prove This Wrong
Most frameworks tell you why they are right. This page does the opposite job. It states, in advance and in plain terms, what would show this work to be wrong – so that the claim gets no shelter from being vague about its own failure.
If independent readers cannot agree
The work claims that decisions can be read – that what was in view, how the options stood, and what was being served can be seen by a careful reader, and not merely projected onto the case. The test is agreement: readers trained in the discipline of using the programme, working the same cases separately, should converge on substantially the same readings. If they systematically cannot – if every reading turns out to be as individual as the reader – then what is being offered as seeing is projection, and the work is wrong at its root. Honesty requires saying plainly: this test has been stated, and tested, but not yet run at scale. Until it has, that sentence stays on this page.
If nothing could ever count against a reading
A way of talking that can absorb every objection – that meets each challenge by re-describing it in its own vocabulary – has stopped being answerable and has become a sealed room. The standing rule here is the opposite: an objection is answered on its own ground, in its own words, before this work’s vocabulary is allowed anywhere near it. The day an objection to this work is met only by diagnosing the objector, this work has failed by its own test, and you are invited to say so.
If the distinctions do not hold in practice
The work turns on a small set of distinctions – kinds of failure that need different repairs, where applying the wrong repair makes things worse. If, in real cases, those kinds cannot reliably be told apart, or the repairs matched to them do not help, the machinery is decoration and the practice built on it is not owed your time or money.
If the sealed conditions are ever moved
Before any client work began, the conditions under which the practice would count its own delivery corrupt – and, separately, the conditions under which its way of finding clients would count as failed – were written down, dated, and sealed, so they cannot be quietly adjusted to fit whatever happens. Revisions are permitted only in the open, dated and reasoned, below the sealed text. A moved seal is the practice failing, whatever the ledgers otherwise say.
And one distinction, both ways
The practice could fail commercially while the ideas stand – good things go un-bought all the time – and the ideas could be wrong while the practice briefly thrives. Neither outcome would settle the other question. Each has its own test, and neither is allowed to borrow the other’s verdict.
